My mission is to dedicate myself to advancing the field of clinical mental health counseling through leadership, education, and advocacy. I aim to learn, grow, and experience as much as possible in order to be able to inspire and mentor future counselors. Through personal, professional, and academic experience, I strive to hone my leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills in order to better serve the counseling profession and my community.I am currently studying as a Graduate Student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling M.A. track of the Counselor Education program at the University of Central Florida, and hold a B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florida. I am also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Senior Fitness Specialist running my own in-home training business, LaChance Fitness Training. I have extensive experience in functional movement training, strength training, and corrective exercise, and I take great pride in utilizing my academic knowledge to research and apply evidence-based training considerations on a case-by-case basis to help people become stronger and more mobile.
