Kyle is leading a cross-functional team of scientists in the advancement of multiple mRNA-cell-engineering projects that are critical to the development of several next-generation cell & gene therapies. Additionally, as liaison to the strategic partners of Factor Bioscience, he is accelerating the clinical translation of Factor's novel RNA technologies.Kyle earned his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, where he studied Immunoengineering under the direction of Professor John T. Wilson. His dissertation primarily dealt with the development of innate immune activators for cancer therapy applications. During his graduate work, he optimized nanoparticle formulations for the intracellular delivery of immunostimulatory nucleic acids and also characterized in vitro & in vivo immune responses following the administration of various immunotherapeutics. He also investigated several controlled release depots for local delivery of immunotherapeutics during his time at Vanderbilt. Prior to his graduate studies, Kyle received his B.S. degree in Bioengineering with a focus in Biopharmaceutical Engineering at Lehigh University.
