Responsible for full cycle accounting for Winemakeri Inc & Nordic MalzResponsibilities IncludeReview entry of AP invoicing to general ledger accounts.Issues payments for invoices according to terms.Monthly balancing of AP to general & sub ledgers.Reviewing of AR invoicing. Reviewing of AR payment receipts. Monthly balancing of AR to general & sub ledgers.Ensure payroll is processed and posted correctly to GL. Monthly review & management of inventories.Entering and posting of monthly prepaid entries. Monthly reconciliations of bank accounts. Monitoring FX exchange for currency swaps.Quarterly tax filings with the CRA. Full monthly financial review of statements to general ledgers.

To plan and manage all aspects of financial reporting, and analysis for both Halifax and Montreal mills. To ensure the efficient operation of the Halifax office location and to provide support for the Montreal office as required-To review financial statements monthly and ensure the integrity of all accounts for both the Halifax and Montreal mill. Monitor and evaluate trends; offer observations or corrective actions as required. Identify critical success factors and ways to measure them to offer improvements operationally.-To coordinate wheat procurement and accounting with the Director of Procurement for both Halifax and Montreal. To supervise wheat inventory control for both Eastern mills.-Provide support and guidance to the accounting and purchasing teams. Conduct annual employee performance reviews. Ensure that the positions for these teams are properly staffed.-Monitor adherence to established operating procedures and internal financial controls. Evaluate and recommend changes to internal financial controls in collaboration with the divisional Controllers.-Design and implement projects as required.-To communicate, in a professional manner, with all internal and external contacts, including senior management, auditors, bankers, suppliers, and customers.-Participate with the senior management team on committees and teams as required.-Ensure the efficient operation of the Halifax office, provide support to Montreal office as required-Provide training as necessary-Co Chair of the Health and Safety Committee.-Head of health and safety for Halifax division-Training Co-ordinator for P&H Halifax for all hourly and salaried employees.
