Furnance Technician
CurrentLoad green product onto refractory for kiln firing, unload product, and transport product to next process following production work order specifications.Inspect refractory for damage or wear and replace when needed.Build load designs based on product requirements.Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality and customer specifications.Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.Perform and document kiln and/or furnace operations following approved work instructions and established department procedures for efficient use of kiln and/or furnace capacity.Take incremental readings and maintain firing within specifications for all kilns and/or furnaces.Perform routine basic maintenance operations on kiln and/or furnaces as required.Track kiln and/or furnace furniture quality including inventories, reconfiguring, and reloading as required. This may include visual and dimensional inspection of refractories.Notify lead, supervisor, or engineer in the event of issues or concerns regarding kiln and/or furnace equipment or product condition.Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory.Examine the condition of product as it arrives from various carriers.Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipmentsManages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
