In the Innovation Accelerator, I collaborated with a group of students to develop a prototype for our collaborator, Abilities to Work, an organization focusing on making businesses more accessible. I learned how to effectively communicate in an online environment and developed leadership skills by managing my group’s progress and ensuring that we were meeting deadlines. I kept all of our weekly workbook activities organized through a shared Google Document with separate hyperlinks for each week. Ultimately, I designed a website that prioritized accessibility for all users and prioritized crucial information.

In my position as a Departmental Assistant in the Central Equipment Room, I was eager to assist customers and possessed a dedicated attitude towards servicing their needs and wants. I utilized my organization skills to effectively store all filming equipment within the confines of the central equipment room. This also gave me the opportunity to familiarize myself with the C300 camera by taking it apart, putting it back together and cleaning all its components. Additionally, I assisted with preparing the equipment rental orders by analyzing the list of requested equipment and then locating and retrieving it to transport into the pickup section of the room. Finally, I developed my communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with the other workers and students.
