Researcher in the Capping Stack oil Spill Scenarios group at LSU heading by Dr. John Roger Smith. I was the only undergrad on the team. The rest of the team consisted of grad students. Assigned to model the flow of oil through the Top Hat Recovery System used by BP during the Macondo Blowout. Using Olga's WelFlow program to do multiphase flow modeling of the system. In addition to creating my own model. This research eventually led a 1st place finish in a local and Regional presentation competition ( SPE Paper Contest). In addition to a 3rd place finish at the international paper contest.
