Anchorage, Alaska Area

Worked for a while when it became apparent that the Oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico was still crippled. I have learned that traveling to Alaska twice a month was not for me and decided to look for employment closer to my home base.

I started my time with ECO as an AB in January 2012, When I left in February of 2015 due to a downturn in the industry I was sailing as a Captain. I have used this time time off as a vacation to myself, traveling on the West Coast and strengthening my off road dirt biking skills and paddle-boarding a considerable amount.

I worked from May through August, on a week on week off schedule. I became familiar with day to day operations and general procedures for ship assist work in Portland Harbor. During this time I sailed on many of the company vessels including: Fournier Girls, Roderick, and Andrew Mcallister, Iona and Stamford.

Point Judith RI

I worked from May until the End of August as a deck hand assisting passengers and the ships officers with day to day operations traveling from Point Judith to Block Island RI. Assisstin mooring and unmooring the vessel and generally overseeing the safety of passengers and the vessel. This was my first experience working aboard a commercial vessel.
