My name is Kyle McColl. I'm originally from Bellingham, Washington, located in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. My hometown and a strong family bond have molded me into the person I am today and shaped my thoughts about my purpose moving forward. I have just completed my bachelor's degree in exercise science in sports performance and am growing my passion for firefighting. After discovering in undergrad that physical therapy wasn't for me, I switched my focus to firefighting and potentially paramedic work in the future.I have gone on two ride-alongs with the Bellingham Fire Department last summer. I observed advanced CPR life support techniques during training sessions and spent quality time with other firefighters, gaining insight into what a typical shift entails. Ever since I spent time in the station, I have become passionate about this career.My mission is to instill positive values and cultivate an uplifting atmosphere that motivates those around me. I empower others to reach their full potential by fostering a community grounded in respect, hard work, and a commitment to health. By creating a fun atmosphere and relentlessly pursuing excellence, I strive for personal growth and uplift those around me. After graduating this spring from Grand Canyon University, I am excited to pursue a career in firefighting, continuing to serve and inspire others.
