KEY ACHIEVEMENTS• Have a key responsibility in creating a variety of technically detailed drawings for various branches throughout the company, working alongside co-workers in offices around the globe, and liaising with clients worldwide.Singlehandedly modelled a range of jack-up and semi-sub oil rigs in 3D, to be used for client presentations and visualisation purposes, as well as being utilised in structural analysis software.• Took pride in spearheading the drawing elements of a large jack-up project in the North Sea, which utilised AutoCAD and Rhino software. Point cloud survey data was used to create seabed topography, where the ultimate aim was to calculate accurate rock dump volumes on the seabed for the jack up legs to rest upon.• Played a vital role in reinventing the way the company produces drawings, which has greatly reduced preparation times, allowing more time to be spent on other pressing projects.RESPONSIBILITIES• Primarily generate positioning layouts, anchor patterns, and mooring patterns, and 3D anchor line make up drawings to assist with the positioning of offshore semi-sub and jack-up rigs alongside platforms and wells.• Role includes dynamic 3D modelling of various mooring elements such as anchors, bollards, and components, which are then added to the block library. Projects also comprise of client specific 3D visualisations.• Routinely create storyboards for rig move procedures. These show how a rig will be transported from one location to another, which is a great visual explanation for both the client and the personnel on site.• Occasionally created one-off style drawings for different departments within the company such as fabrication and maintenance drawings, including chain inspection units and container modules.• Garner as-laid survey and geotechnical reports from rigs and anchor handling vessels in order to provide accurate as-laid drawings to be sent on to the client, and are then used as a basis for the next rig move.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS• Majority of time spent working on council HIP contract; have played an integral role in being ahead of competitor companies in drawing standards and quality.• Provided the CAD team with a new level of efficiency by introducing dynamic blocks and various other lesser known commands within AutoCAD.• Lead role in responsibilities such as internal wall insulation and as built drawings.RESPONSIBILITIES• Second in command of a team of four, working closely with Snr. CAD Technician.Prepare conceptual and detailed drawings, as required by the project timeline.• Convert survey sketches of floor plans into AutoCAD drawings; new upgrades and installations are incorporated into these plans, which are sent to the client.• Drawing works include kitchen and bathroom upgrades, electric and gas heating upgrades, rewires, doors, windows, steps and handrail replacements, and IWI.• Responsible for overseeing any alterations to drawings as and when required.• Attend site visits and conduct site surveys as required to gather information.• Create site and traffic plans for various tenders that the company has ongoing

Working as part of a design team responsible for designing offshore accommodation in structures such as drilling rigs. Producing architectural, electrical, plumbing and HVAC drawings, and managingregisters and logs. Highlights of this role included:- Involvement in the design cycle from site inspection through to finished drawings.- Leading design for the company’s relocation including space planning and creating multi-use office space.- Obtaining drawings and specifications from vendors.- Updating and maintaining the company’s CAD/BIM standards.- Taking on the responsibility of creating, updating and managing COSHH risk assessments.- Developed an organised and methodical approach to task management.

This part time, temporary role gave me practical experience in creating and editing in AutoCAD. Updating AutoCAD drawings from sketches produced by colleagues or clients. Ensuring that these changes were cascaded to all other relevant drawings.Highlights of this role included:- Gaining experience in AutoCAD by converting hard copy drawings into digital versions.- Emphasis on making sure drawings were clear and comprehendible for both engineers and clients.- Designing the conversion of a store into a one bedroom flat.
