I spent over four years in the Air Force working in nuclear weapons controlled environments which demanded strict compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, I am a recent University of Pittsburgh graduate with a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. This knowledge of economics and government policy combined with my work experience enables me to understand the impact that government regulations will have on financial, energy, and industrial sectors. My academic interests and passion for economics have sought a comprehensive, local to global perspective on diverse areas of economic topics such as the recent financial crisis, globalization, and the oil and gas boom in the United States. My past research includes (but is not limited to) deposit insurance schemes, international financial analysis of China, the U.S. stagflation period of the 1970’s, compulsory integration laws, oil and gas export economics, and the costs and benefits of Marcellus Shale drilling. Much of this research utilizes data analysis methods such as forecasting and time-series techniques using STATA, Statgraphics Centurion, and MS Excel. My work experience and passion for economics enables me to understand the economic impact that government regulations will have on financial sectors, the oil and gas industry, and the environment.
