The Gonzaga Kennel Club is (the largest) student run, independently funded, and historical club at Gonzaga University. The Treasurer sits on the Executive Board alongside the President and VP. This role is responsible for executive duties such as managing the progress on the 10 general board roles, upholding the club's image on campus, and promoting membership recruitment. Additionally, the Treasurer holds responsibility of managing all finances of the club, keeping track of the budget, and writing/reviewing sponsor contracts. Lastly, the Kennel Club is the voice of the student section at all home sports games, creating engaging events for students to support our amazing athletic teams. We provide support to the Men's Basketball team as well as all other athletic teams at GU. Kennel Club is involved in the Spokane community and utilizes its large member base (~1,500) to create change on and off campus.

The Director of Leadership Development works with other members of the Executive Board to fulfill the mission of "enriching residents' lives" by providing residents with events, programs, and development opportunities while serving as a platform to advocate for their needs. The Executive Board members also act as an advisor to the staff (RAs) of their respective blocks on all matters concerning the General Assembly including funding, collaborations, and guidelines. Each board member also serves as the advisor to their block's student council. Specifically, The Director of Leadership Development is responsible for the personal and professional development of all members of the Residence Hall Association. This is seen through organizing and executing training each semester, providing development opportunities to members, and hosting leadership workshops in conjunction with the campus leadership center for residents. The Director of Leadership Development also manages the organization's social media accounts, facilitates the recruitment for the next Executive Board, and serves as the Chairperson of the Constitutional Review Committee.

Worked as a summer (day) camp counselor for the City of Issaquah full time for the summers of 2018 and 2019. Spent full days entertaining groups of children aged 7-10. Was solely responsible for up to twelve children during each camp session (1 week) making sure their needs such as allergies, dietary restrictions, medication, special needs accommodations, and behavioral issues were known and met. Was also responsible for checking in and out campers to and from their parents or guardians which involved checking IDs and making sure the child felt safe with who was picking them up while creating trusting meaningful relationships with parents. Worked with several other staff members to create weekly schedules comprised of games, crafts, activities, assemblies, snacks, skits...etc. Supervised children during field trips such as Wild Waves Theme Park, Family Fun Center, The Woodland Park Zoo, and weekly trips to a local beach and pool. Learned the importance of communication, creativity, preparedness, leadership, safety, accountability, and most importantly leaving my comfort zone to make sure each child at our camp was having an awesome time.

Volunteered at Village Theatre Kidstage starting at the age of 13 as a light board operator, a rather easy job. I continued volunteering my time at Kidstage and participated in roles such as light board operator, spotlight operator, sound assistant (in charge of putting microphones of actors), and backstage hand. After years of learning the workings of technical theatre, I was offered an internship position as an assistant lighting designer and programmer. I held this position for the summer shows of 2017 and 2018. This allowed me to add creative touches to the lighting design of the show, and assist in the hanging and focusing of physical light elements before our productions began. During the winter of 2019, I was the lighting designer for the Village Theatre's Kidstage originals production of "All That Glitters". This was a show that was written and produced entirely by teenagers. Volunteering at Village Theatre taught me many things about technical theatre and lighting design. Most importantly though, I learned important skills like professionalism, timeliness, teamwork, collaboration, working on a budget, and most important to me is that I started in a low-level position and proved my worth as I moved on to more challenging and important roles in the theatre.“KIDSTAGE is uniquely designed to use theatre to build critical life skills in each participant. In KIDSTAGE classes and rehearsals, our techniques encourage creativity, collaboration, problem solving, concentration, public speaking, and a strong work ethic.
