I started with the Guilford County Sheriff's Office in May of 2012. After completing field training, I was assigned to the Field Operations Division where I served as a patrol deputy until being promoted to Master Corporal in November 2016.As a Master Corporal, I served as an assistant supervisor on a patrol squad and spent time working with our property crimes detectives. While on patrol I assisted with training multiple new hires and I was responsible for running the squad when the Sergeant was off. During my time working with property crimes I assisted with investigations and I was responsible for being a liaison between the detectives and patrol by disseminating suspect information and crime trends. In March of 2020, I was transferred to Special Operations Division as a Vice / Narcotics Detective. In January of 2021, I was sent back to patrol to assist with training new hires due to a Field Training Officer shortage.In April of 2021, I was promoted to Sergeant and assigned back to Field Operations. I was a member of the Sheriff's Emergency Response Team since September 2014 - November 2021. I left GCSO after almost 11 years and spent 3 months working as a police officer in Burlington, NC. I was burnt out and thought I wanted to be done with law enforcement. In July of 2023 I got the opportunity to join Duke Energy as a Lineman Apprentice. This time away from the job made me realize how proud I was to be a police officer and do the job the right way. After talking to my wife and a lot of prayer, I started researching local agencies to make a return. I’m proud to say I am now employed with Asheboro PD as a Master Police Officer. I’m excited to get started!
