* Responsible for the direct management and supervision of drivers to include: ensuring compliance with DOT and company regulations, maintaining payroll, driver retention, safety, and the timely movement of freight.* Assign loads and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements.* Maintain the company's safety culture to include daily driver safety messages, monthly driver safety briefings, quarterly driver training and annual reviews.* Perform administrative functions to include scheduling, routing, driver counseling, accident/collision reviews and other regular reports.

* Contact receivers of our customers’ freight to coordinate delivery appointments prior to de-ramp.* Monitor and reschedule deliveries when necessary. As well as research the correct reason on why the appointment needs to be rescheduled.* Analyze all deliveries for potential loads dwelling at the rail-yard. Work with the receiver to eliminate/reduce any dwell charges by the rail.* Communicate extensively with Marketing and Operations to deliver freight on time.
