Work in the HCF Core Structures Design group to help support the development of methods and models for engine components so that they satisfy the Goodman Criterion.

In the Applied Mechanics Lab for Statics I designed test plans and fixturing to test different engine hardware in engine like conditions to support design changes and learning. Testing includes but not limited to: LCF, elevated temp, high-speed capture, static uniaxial displacement, and static multiaxial displacement.

Ran certain casting products through the entire casting process for the Rapid Prototyping Casting Lab. Managed multiple development projects for test engines. Ran the Ceramic Shell and Shell Prep casting processes for 6 months of the rotation.

Developed and updated LabView data acquisition and processing coded to be used on the CSTAR high speed compressor rig to accommodate increased instrumentation channels.

Created parts for student and faculty engineering design and research projects.

• Designed and implemented a testing plan for APU overheat analysis.• Created test schedule and Master DVP for APU project to understand critical testing needs for NPD project cycle.• Constructed a model for APU run hours to validate warranty information and save 70 hours per year of truck life.• Developed a statistical model for DPF fill percentages from APU field data to identify bounds of multiple operating modes.

• Edited and improved existing criteria for the inspection of parts in Quality Controls and on the machine floor. • Assisted in the inspection and the creation of documentation of medical parts to ensure the safety of the patient.• Improved Quality Engineer efficiency in inspection criteria creation by creating planning documents.• Broke down the ELEVATE production flow to understand where improvements can be made to increase efficiency.• Conducted investigations to identify problems in the manufacturing process.• Conducted investigation into the cause of measurement discrepancies between Quality Control and Manufacturing.• Created an applications to track non-conforming orders and relay the historical information into multiple easy to read pivot tables and charts to improve traceability and tracking.• Completed cleaning studies to determine correct cleaning process for a new single piece flow work cell.
