Responsible for management of Sandpoint Organic Agriculture Center, the newest addition to the University of Idaho's Research and Experimental Agriculture Stations across the state, including an 8 acre USDA Certified Organic orchard. SOAC is also the UI's first station dedicated to organic and sustainable agriculture principles.

I managed an 8 acre USDA Certified Organic orchard containing 640 heirloom apple and pear trees of 68 different varieties, some of which date back to Roman times. My responsibilities includes monitoring tree health, soil fertility, insect and disease management, and fruit production, along with cold storage design, harvesting and marketing of produce. We have also added 1000' of organic raspberry rows that began producing in June of 2015 and a new block of pears and plums in 2017.

Act as consultant for private residents and businesses to determine health of trees, suitable tree species, and pruning recommendations, as well as determine tree value and potential tree hazards.
