In early 2007, I was hired by Central Valley Perfusion, Inc. as a per-diem Autotransfusionist/Perfusion Assistant based on my experience as an Anesthesia and Blood Gas Tech in the Cardiac Surgery OR. Having a dedicated Autotransfusionist on staff allowed for more flexibility and as a result, we quickly established multiple autotransfusion contracts with various facilities in the Central Valley. With the subsequent increase in case load, we were pushed into a position to start hiring additional autransfusionists, thus moving me to both a full time, as well as managerial position for the autotransfusion operations at Central Valley Perfusion. With our continued growth of autotransfusion coverage, eventually expanding from the Central Valley into both the South Bay and the North Bay, Central Valley Perfusion rebranded its autotransfusion operations, creating the blood management group, BloodGuys, during which I was responsible for managing the South Bay and Central Valley. In mid 2014, BloodGuys expanded its operations to the Nashville Metro region, and extending into southern Kentucky where I am currently overseeing our blood management operations at approximately 10 facilities.Board certified through the International Board of Blood Management in Perioperative Blood Management Technology (PBMT).Specialties: Peri-operative and post-operative autotransfusion, platelet rich plasma, team mangement, clinical coordinating and scheduling, blood management program implementation, quality control oversight, clinical consulting
