I support and develop Perl and Java applications that range in functionality from client reports and clearing-broker uploads to an in-house order management system utilized by our trading desk and more. Documentation is also maintained alongside the processes and applications that I support and develop to aid in cross-training and support by other members of my team.

While completing the last year and a half of college I worked full time in a product support role providing client support, IT/technical support, and performing data management activities on a daily basis. Our market data feeds were normalized through Linux based servers and provided to clients in either shared or dedicated environments with all support performed through the command line interface. Duties responsible for:● Data collection (MySQL) and analysis performed to help development/operations teams identify software related issues● Client-side data validation of new software releases after development and QA team sign-offs● Communication through email and telephone with clients troubleshooting content and server connectivity issues● Develop scripts (Bash) for data collection as well as automating daily manual tasks to create a more efficient environment and allow more time for troubleshooting client reported issues● Develop monitoring scripts (Bash) to be executed by Autosys jobs to monitor specific connection types or requests for large clients to their dedicated environments● Creating specifications for clients related to their dedicated environments and on the functionality of available tools within the product● Assist Support Engineering team with application troubleshooting for issues with major clients
