The project studied stormwater entering the Somenos Marsh, and made recommendations on how to create a ecosystem remediation plan. The work included: watershed mapping, phytoremediation tactics, law review, applicable funding sources, and ultimately a plan on how to approach environmental contamination via stormwater. As project leader, my duties included client liaison, research, field work, report writing, presentations, budgets and overall project management.

I worked on a contract along side the Somenos Marsh Wildlife Society (SMWS) funded by a Service Canada Summer Job grant. I worked largely independent as a researcher studying municipal stormwater and its affect on local wetland ecosystems. I was responsible for: field work, liaison with partners, presentations, research, analysis and report writing. Since the submission of my report, the SMWS has incorporated several of my ideas into their strategic plan.
