Kyle is a professionally trained creator with a focus in both audio and video post-production. In 2021, Kyle graduated with distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology within the Television and Video Production program, and is currently working as an Associate Video Editor. Before studying at BCIT, Kyle attended The University of the Fraser Valley, and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree (Media and Communication Studies option).After completing his degree at UFV, Kyle realized that the current career path that he was on was not for him. He fell in love with video editing at the age of 18, and would produce minor content with friends as a hobby. In pursuit of his passion for video editing, he applied to BCIT to set himself on the correct path for the future. After acquiring editing knowledge within Adobe Premiere, he has also gained knowledge of other non-linear editing software, such as Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid Pro Tools.Since studying at BCIT, Kyle has worked on many student film projects, alongside projects done outside of school. In 2020, Kyle was the head editor for the short film, "Waiting", the head audio editor for the short film, "Trigger Finger", and in 2021, the head editor for the short film “Appointment for Jessica Miller”. After graduating from BCIT, Kyle received employment as a video editor for TGS Esports, and is currently working as a video editor for DownieLive.Kyle's future goals include expanding his skill set to other mediums, such as animation, as well as to work as an editor on documentary, film, or other creative media.
