As a Baseball Operations Assistant, I work closely with our coaches, players, and baseball operation director to get a number of tasks done for the team. I work on scouting reports, running TrackMan, and Edgertronic, while also assisting with anything needed for recruits and special guests. I help run and organize evaluation camps, where around a hundred-plus high school players come to Iowa to be evaluated by our staff. While with the program I have also learned more about the industry, with a focus on scouting. I work with coaches and other managers on learning how to scout both in the amateur and advanced fields.

Proficiently scan tickets and efficiently facilitate a smooth entry process for fans. Provided excellent customer service by assisting fans in finding their seats and answering any questions they had. Demonstrated versatility and adaptability by actively assisting in various areas wherever extra support was needed. My responsibilities as an umpire were to officiate youth baseball games from ages 9-14, either behind home plate or in the field. I would work with a partner and have to communicate the time of arrival, uniform, and duties for the day. I would have to work with coaches and players making sure nothing got out of hand. I had to communicate clearly and affirmatively on close calls or unknown rules. I also had to deal with argumentative parents, having to settle them down and not let any yelling no matter the situation get to me.
