Driver

Minot Afb

As a Driver/Operator, I’m not only required to take on multiple duties, but I also strived to go above and beyond what was asked of me. For example, as a SrA with Officer I, Instructor I, and Inspector I stepped up and filled the role as battalion chief for over 6 months. I created shift rosters, scheduled monthly training, oversaw shift appointments, and oversaw briefing weekly staff meetings within the department. I also taught HazMat courses instructing DECON strategies, recognizing the hazards, implementing a HazMat team, and how to mitigate the hazard. I also am a Trainer/Evaluator for upgrade training from vehicle licenses to I’s certs. I created manning documents, training reports, and NFIRS reports to help ease the workload for the shift. I helped with or oversaw multiple programs, for example:Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:· I was the DRMO POC for the fire department. During my time as the POC I organized and led the cleanout of the fire departments storage warehouse. I identified over $20k in assets that were no longer operational or did not pass certification. All items were documented and transferred to the DRMO office. This not only resulted in the creating much needed storage space but also directly led to the purchase of new firefighting equipment and PPE to bring the Department to 100% response ready status.· I led and oversaw the creation of the new joint operations emergency control center for Minot AFB. This move spanned over 7 months and was completed 4 months earlier than projected. I oversaw direct co-ordination with base law enforcement, communications squadron, and Monaco fire alarm systems representatives.· I achieved all required licenses for the station (Stryker).· Completed Instructor I and Officer I.· Helped with the remodeling of station.· Fire Department POC for weekly base wide newcomers’ briefings.
