My name is Kyle Schappert. Through my personal and professional learning journey, I've developed skills in multi-disciplinary areas including content development, photography work, marketing, communications, broadcasting, logistics, event coordination, retail, and customer service work.My passion for creative photography started as a hobby and has since been infused into my professional work experience. My portfolio includes imagery for tourism purposes, drone photography, events photography, product shots and content development for social media platforms, landscape and nature photography, city-scapes, long-exposure night photos, steel-wool spinning, light painting images, and abandoned building photos. My professional photography experience includes creating content and managing the social media platforms for the Garden Variety Cannabis Dispensary. I have contributed content for the City of Dauphin to support their tourism and marketing campaigns. I have done drone photography work for individuals interested in seeing their property from a bird-eye-view. I was hired by the Waywayseecappo First Nation's Chief to provide drone footage of storm damage to the reserve land, as well as photograph a pow-wow event. I have provided Travel Manitoba with imagery of landscapes throughout the beautiful province of Manitoba. I have photographed events including Country Fest, Folklarama, the Pace Cultural Event, and Festival Du Voyageur. My work has been featured in McLean's Magazine, the Winnipeg Free Press, and I was a featured artist for Friesen's printing company where my work was used to create a corporate calendar. Another passion of mine is environmental sustainability. During my three years working for the CBCRA/Recycle Everywhere Program, I promoted citizenship and engaged the public by helping to expand the Recycle Everywhere events campaign from a mere ten events to over one hundred locations. I played a key role in implementing public recycling infrastructure in nearly every municipality in Manitoba. I have made numerous presentations to schools and community groups and have also completed a series of waste audits in association with both The City of Winnipeg and Associated Environmental Technologies to gather data to better inform our work on sustainable planning. I worked with the street team to promote awareness and bring a fun and creative element to public events. My objective is to connect with organizations, groups, and individuals to create content. My unique style, artistic eye-for-detail, and diversity of work set me apart.
