- Provides direct supervision of and effective communication to Utility Construction Planners and Specialists to ensure consistent results.- Develop a culture of learning and development, by building trusted relationships with employees.Regularly provide input and coaching to employees for optimum performance.-Communicates and provides consistent training for industry and regulatory processes, policies, and standards.Lead or co-lead design function of major, unique, and critical projects.- Facilitates leadership and partnership between departments and partners.-Finds opportunities for continuous improvement within the project management process.-Confirms designs, estimates, and construction prints meet standards.-Ensures construction work is planned in a timely and cost-effective manner.- Supervises budgets and spending within the department. - Provides input for Capital/O&M budget creation and prioritization. - Monitors actual vs. estimated cost on capital work orders. Manage 3rd Party Damage estimates. - Documents significant variances and search for ways to continuously improve the department and company.Responsible for consistently applying tariffs throughout the state.- Ensures all work orders processed in a timely manner. Assist with third party construction contract discussions as needed.- Provides oversight and management of customer contracts, contributions in aid of construction, refundable construction deposits, and services agreements as needed.- Is proactive in safety and promote a culture of safety.Assist with storm/outage restoration and audits as needed.Review, implement and maintain feasibility models.Additional Responsibilities:- Provides backup for local Operations Supervisor(s) and Managers as needed.- Provides off-hours support as required.- Performs and manage special projects and other duties as assigned.
