Software Engineer
Current2021: Filesystem Scale Team. We aim to increase the maximum number of filesystems on Flashblade without compromising performance in order to satisfy key large customers. I am responsible for the tunable management to enable/disable this feature. This involves shopping the changes to other teams, collaboration with our analytics, and developing charts with ChartIO/SQL to track changes.2020: Product Tooling Team. We created tools for the Support team to better interact with the product and help the customer. I created the Tunable Project and mentored interns in implementing FBTune a tool for setting and tracking tunable changes to all systems in our fleet. This required collaboration with other teams to reach consensus on how to satisfy their requirements, and investigating customer requirements from support members.2019: Forensics Rotation (Escalations Engineering). This team is the frontline engineers that support calls for active customer issues. I was responsible for communicating customer issues to engineering, engineering issues to customers, and ensuring that customer facing bugs are resolved and make it into a release. I was also responsible for release management of maintenance branches, and analytics of potential issues and abnormal states. Finally, I was also responsible for leading our Data Loss Prevention Efforts. 2018: Quotas Team. Implemented default quotas, integration tests, and pass-through code. I acted as our team's UI liaison and coordinated efforts to link the front-end and backend apis.2017: Networking/Sim Team: Wrote diagnostic tools for identifying networking issues in a complex distributed product.Misc.
