I started with the Program Planning & Scheduling department with limited experience in developing and maintaining program schedules. After being in the role for several months I became the lead planner for the A-29 attack aircraft covering 41 airframes with a combined program cost of $900 million. Supported the schedule for a competitive proposal valued at $1,000 million by serving as lead planner for: Training Devices, Aircrew Training, and Technical Publications. Programmed and introduced numerous VBA macros that:• Reduced time and cost to maintain program schedules.• Enabled schedulers to utilize historical program performance to create similar schedules.• Enabled schedulers to rapidly save and store historical data with a minimum file size.

As an Undergraduate Research Assistant, I supported several research projects that utilized a combustion wind tunnel. For this position, I learned how to safely operate and monitor the combustion wind tunnel preforming key functions such as experiment set up, data collection, and experiment tear down. For a Department of Defense (DoD) funded program, I designed and assembled hardware that survived the combustion wind tunnel development. As part of this research, I am included as a coauthor on “Droplet evaporation of water and fuel jets in low and high temperature subsonic crossflows”.

For my Senior Capstone project, I created and led the first instance of an Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) senior design group. For this project I recruited a multi-disciplinary team consisting of: Aerospace, Mechanical, and Electrical engineers; Fundraised; and gathered local experts to provide mentorship to the program. The scope of the project consisted of: requirements development, subsystem design, subsystem integration, subsystem manufacture, and test. For management of the program, each team member was assigned a subsystem (Propulsion, Structure, Navigation & Control, and Depth Control) and a set of funds to accomplish the requirements of their subsystem. These subsystems were then integrated into the hull of the system to accomplish the mission outlined in the concept of operations. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and a lack of lab space, the UUV was not tested in an environment.

At Cornerstone Research Group, I contributed to the design and development of a large captive carry Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and a manned aircraft more as an entry employee than a student. For these programs, I exceeded the performance goals set for me by:• Developed a new design for the inlet cover subsystem that resulted in a cost reduction of $1,500 per unit.• Designed and built a Hardware In the Loop (HIL) test stand that was able to be rapidly reconfigured by a single user to model different UAV configurations.• Preformed trade studies and met with potential suppliers supporting hardware selection for: Servo Motors, Air Data Probe, and Air Data Computer.• Supported business development by identifying and generating concepts for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts set forth by the Department of Defense (DoD).• Preformed stability calculations for a manned aircraft and managed a revision controlled stability & control database that received inputs from different engineering teams.

I completed my first three CO-OPs (Internships) at Barnes Aerospace in the quality (Jan 2018 – May 2018) and manufacturing engineering (Aug 2018 – Dec 2018; May 2019 – Aug 2019) departments. In the quality department, I supported the implementation of statistical quality controls on the shrouds & seals product line. Learned solidworks and engineering drawing principles such as GD&T to support the standup of a new X-Ray machine to include fixture design and process development. In the manufacturing engineering department, I designed fixtures, gages, and tooling aids to support several product lines and created instructions to rework non-conforming material. Created and implemented a new work instruction format that utilized videos that resulted in reduced employee training times for several key products.

At Central Classic Cars, I helped an experienced team of mechanics and painters repair and restore high-end vehicles. I had the opportunity to learn basic mechanical skills, basic restoration skills, and learned how to use heavy machinery.

While I was a student at Saint Francis De Sales, I worked at American Kenpo Karate, where I assisted in teaching classes and earned the rank of third degree black belt.
