    While studying at the University of Michigan, I was a member of a multidisciplinary team design project sponsored by Northrop Grumman Co. on 3D Printing from Martian Dust. The vision of our project was to save cost of traveling to future extraterrestrial destinations (such as Mars) by deriving useful and printable media from local regolith, and by using additive manufacturing technology to print working parts.
