My name is Kyle Sheaffer, I am currently a junior at Indiana University studying business managment. Three phrases that describe me best, a pro-active leader, open to new opportunities, and hard-working. Proactive Leader - I was at a Boy Scout camp as a leader. I was having trouble gettign the other scouts to listen to me and do their work. Usually, I would just tell people what to do, and that what I did at first when trying to get people to clean the camp bathrooms. When people refused or didn’t do as they were told, I tried again, this time stating that out of the 8 people needed, I was the first. This conviced many to come and help and we got the bathrooms clean in record time.Opportuinty Seeker - I was having a hard time finding what clubs I wanted to be involved in my freshman year of college. So I decided to check out the college fair and discovered the mock trial club. I have never done mock trial, but I decided to try out and see where this new opportunity will take me. I gave it my all at try-outs, and got put on the mock trial B-Team. I would have never gotten on the team if I didn’t try the opportunity laid before me.Hard Worker - When I was assigned a project for my Eagle Project in Boy Scouts, I was given the job of building a playhouse for a small school for the deaf near me. This was a lot of work, especially when comapred to other Boy Scouts who just build small benches. Instead of getting disouraged by all the work, I put my nose to the grindstone and worked. It took me 6 months, but I was able to complete it and receive my Eagle Badge.
