Initiated and supervised recreation activities for Yellowstone National Park employees. Designed and led backpacking trips, intramural sport leagues, and social activities. Proficient in the use of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to create schedules, plan, and organize activities allowing co-workers to be prepared for any situation. Implemented interpretive skills to connect the public with the park. Created contingency plans to help in high-pressure situations and implemented them when necessary. Patrolled and supervised campground and day use area. Showed customers the proper procedures for operating a boat on the lake. Maintained boats and associated equipment, also in charge of fixing irrigation pipes along with lake and campsite maintenance.

Encouraging people to join the organization, along with teaching people of the benefits of picking up trash while hiking. Cleaning the trail after every event for the hope of a clean outdoors. Leading the expansion of the organization to several other colleges.

Kearny Mesa, Ca

Inspected and repaired customers bicycles while working in the service department. Assembled new bicycles to be put on the showroom floor. Worked on the sales floor greeting customers and helped them decide the perfect item for there use. Encouraged customers to plan for the future and always have the necessary gear. Rode with customers at local trails to help dial in their new bicycle, parts, or gear, building a relationship with all customers.

Big Bear, Ca

Designed the company’s first guided hiking tour. Led groups of ten to thirty guests on well informed hikes, giving each guest insight into the history of Big Bear Lake along with the biology of surrounding pine forest. Helped with marketing by creating new advertisements and expanded advertising placement.

La Jolla, Ca

Instructed participants on proper kayaking procedure and precautions to take while in the ocean. Lead groups of twenty on a four-mile tour to the La Jolla Caves. Along the way entertained and informed participants on some of the history, geology, and biology that La Jolla offers. Made sure every person in my group was happy and safe during the entire tour. Preformed saves on participants panicking in the water and flipped rolled kayaks when necessary.

San Diego, Ca

Organized a camping trip for teens at the Lakeside Recreation Center. Took thirty teens on an overnight camping trip to Agua Caliente San Diego County Park. Lead the teens on a hike through the desert, and helped to supporting my group members during their activities.
