About The Makers…The Makers is a third-generation family business, founded in 1946 by Miel Van Giles. In 1946 the business was aimed at post war kids wear manufacturing. In 2020 the business’s aim is creating the best luxury garments for menswear retailers. Giving me an insight into the relationship between a manufacturer and retailer from start to finish. I assisted the company’s sales agents by finding them new clients, all from cold leads. This has been from local tailors in Yorkshire to Californian menswear brand David August. I contacted David through social media.
