After being promoted from Operations Manager to COO, I found myself in a unique position to influence business development, decisions, and execution of objectives. I continued to learn and grow many high level skills that translated well across my scope. I knew I wanted to continue to learn and grow while applying the skills I was acquiring to my own passions in business. I felt as though I was at a point I could offer more to one rather than the other and splitting my time was no longer possible if I wanted to grow in either direction in my career. Still the skills, relationships, and lessons learned in my time here were amazing and I couldn't be happier for them. Ultimately both the business and myself had grown, the business influenced my growth greatly and hope the experience was mutual.

In a few short years I was able to grow in a very hands-on way along side an already growing chemical redistribution company. Using skills in analytics, mathematics, operations, and a growing business acumen, I promoted quickly to the role of Operations Manager. Giving me a platform to drive innovation, sales, and cost control measures throughout the business units.Implementation of new processes required new business logic and exploring new technology to apply within the organization. My role allowed me to research, document proofs of concept, and deliver them directly to stakeholders. If approved, I managed the project implementation and execution to meet business goals. Often the executive vision was a key starting point which would then drive this process into motion, but at times, the needs of individual contributers drove these projects as well. Learning and growing along side the organization I gained exposure to nearly all sides of the business at one time or another and gave me a strong foundation for how businesses can scale and what it means to grow within an organization that is scaling.A great experience, in business and in many other areas. Towards the 2 year mark I had began my own side work to apply what I had been learning to projects I found interesting in business intelligence for other growing small/mid-size businesses, providing even more hands on experience and business exposure.

Using a combination of modeling techniques and business knowledge I implemented and drove efficiency standards throughout the companies redistribution business units. This required industry and quantitative research techniques to develop reports with recommendations on business needs and documenting scenarios to support claims. These documents to the stakeholders helped shape business goals which led to the implementation of new business processes or the development/investment into new software. I then would act as consultant to managers of business units to implement these processes or actively develop/engineer software solutions to be used by the business and help the business in product adoption, before moving on to the next business area.
