- Conduct repairs, services, inspections and pre delivery inspections from a wide range of machinery such as, small tools, plant machinery, compressors, generators, trailers and powered access. I ensure there is minimal downtime on machines and would notify the Workshop Manager of any damaged machinery.- I have to meet with customers or contractual specification and add attachments e.g. hydraulic breakers, jig, brush, generators, secondary guard or modifications e.g. green beacon, reverse camera, fire extinguisher or high visibility strips to machinery to comply with customers needs or site regulations then completing service records.- Carry out 3, 6 and 12 monthly inspections for small tools (electrical and mechanical), plant machinery and powered access machinery when required, filling out an inspection check sheet. When I have finished an inspection on machinery this is then recorded onto the Keplar computer system. If a machine is deemed safe or unsafe I then have to alter the asset into its correct category whether that be available or under repair. Meeting LOLER, PUWER and HASAWA requirements.- Punctuality is very important as I have adapted this from a young age, making sure I am at work 15 mins early so I have enough time to get ready for the day. I have not had any injuries at work throughout my apprenticeship making sure I always wear the correct personal protective equipment on every job I undertake.

- Recommending the correct bike, accessories and care plan to different people was part of my job role in Halfords, building a good customer relationship and making them feel relaxed and welcome. I would size people up on correct bikes, helmets, clothing and footwear depending on what season we were in and what intentions they had. I made sure the stock levels never dropped by refilling the shelves.- Build, diagnose and repair new and old bikes to a high standard quickly and efficiently as there was a quick turn around on bike repairs. When diagnosing a fault I would telephone the customer with a quote and if agreed I would carry out the relevant repair, keeping all records of work and prices.

- Undertaking 2 newspaper rounds and completing them by a specific time that would meet customers satisfaction on a daily basis. I always ensured they were neatly put through the door, never walking on their grass as I believe this is polite and builds good customer relations. - Liaising with my manager if the amount of papers initially delivered to me were short. I may have needed more papers to complete my job. I would inform a customer if their paper would be late or alternatively come up with another solution by going to the shop, purchasing one then delivering it to the customer.
