Managed project consisting of concept vehicle sizing for tracked entertainment ride. Performed motor sizing, gearbox sizing, and designed vehicle frame from blank sheet utilizing SolidWorks software. Analyzed roller coaster tilting switch utilizing FEMAP/NX Nastran software. Identified failing components and created elegant design solutions. Processed weld and parent material results for verification against Eurocode 3. Generated detailed finite element model of roller coaster track to perform initial sizing of columns and strongback. Performed analysis on themed entertainment doors involving a multitude of loading conditions and detailed 3D geometric meshing. Performed estimate involving scope, cost, and project schedule for follow up work. Member of small team performing detailed analysis of customer designed dark ride entertainment vehicle. Included non-linear modeling of mesh-independent fasteners to meet requirements utilizing ABAQUS.

In charge of managing engineering department as well as all current engineering efforts.Develops non linear material models for analysis in Abaqus CAE. Analyzes and designs elastomeric components for sealing function as well as structural integrity. Verifies design and material model with representative testing.

Pioneered utilizing Abaqus FEA non-linear analysis in the design and verification of elastomeric and plastic parts. Developed hyperelastic material models of existing elastomers utilizing customized programs on a tensile tester. Verified finite element analysis with stiffness and shape comparison to actual uniaxial test of product and/or material. Designed and created production drawings of components utilizing SolidWorks in accordance with ASME Y14.5.

Spearheaded the prototype component analysis, utilizing COSMOSWorks FEA Software. Assessed components for thermal stress/heat transfer, vibration, stress, strain, and fluid flow, utilizing COSMOSWorks software; confirmed finite element results with hand calculations. Performed lab testing to verify finite element thermal analysis and obtain physical parameters.

Managed three interns; mentored interns on stereolithography machine operation to ensure delivery of prototype components to lead engineers within time constraints.Modified/designed plastic and sheet metal parts, utilizing SolidWorks, Inventor, and AutoCAD.Aided in leading production solution design that resulted in a patent application.
