Developing policy to adhere to Sport England Tier 3 Code for Sports Governance. I am responsible for the team development and implementation of a Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan for the sector across Liverpool City Region.I am supporting system change at all levels to develop accessible and inclusive opportunities for movement, physical activity and sport.My priority systems include:- Safer and Stronger Communities- Mental Health- Workforce Development- Place Based Approach

I care about genuine collaboration for the benefit of people and places to lead active lifestyles.I have experience developing systems which improve the conditions for physical activity and sport for development, and tackle inequalities in our communities.I have developed strong project and people management skills through programmes and budgets of varying sizes and outcomes, including £185,000 Sport England income to increase sport and physical activity participation, and managing over £500,000 of investment to tackle inequalities across Liverpool City Region between 2020-2023. I have successfully managed all budgets, stakeholders, and procurement while meeting, and exceeding targets and expected outcomes. I have lead sports sector input into solutions for safer and stronger communities across Merseyside. This includes developing the role that sport and physical activity can play in tackling and preventing violence and crime. This has involved strategic investment of over £900,000 into sports and physical activity delivery through priority places from 2020-24.My collaboration with Mind since 2019-2024 has enabled the development of a strategic network to facilitate connections of sport and physical activity sector and health sector and people with lived experience, to advocate and improve the conditions for physical activity to improve mental health. This has created a network of mental health aware sports and physical activity providers across the North West, and mental health services embedding physical activity into their core offer for clients. My skills and experiences have resulted in me being comfortable and competent working at all levels of systems and business. I have the skills to communicate, negotiate and advocate effectively and efficiently. I have presented my work in multiple strategic forums, to p collaborative system change.

Mentoring young people through a digital CBT programme. Working with young people 1:1 to help them to understand and manage their mental health.

I lead a team of instructors to deliver Bikeability cycle training in schools and communities. As a team we deliver sessions for young people aged between 9-14 years, to develop their cycling skills consistent with the national standard outcomes for on road cycling.In 2015 I was selected by British Cycling to feature in a promotional video to build the profile of cycle training instructors’. As a result of this I have featured in newspapers, magazines and on North West radio to promote cycling, cycle training and instructor training.I was involved in a development project, delivering cycling events to the public in Halton; using initiative to deliver appropriate rides and sessions to participants attending on the day. This involved teaching adults how to ride and making cycling inclusive, to accommodate all abilities. I have also delivered discipline specific coaching sessions in road cycling, MTB and cyclocross. As a result of this I now provide adapted cycling sessions with a multi sport club to make cycling accessible for young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). I developed relationships with existing ride leaders, cycling clubs and private companies with the aim of creating a sustainable cycling culture. Through co-ordinating and delivering these events, I am confident with providing cycling opportunities from leisure and transport through to participation for sport, to varying ages and abilities.
