Completions and Wellbore Intervention: XACT Downhole Telemetry-Led mechanical hazloc design for new rig-floor products for Zone 0 and Zone 1 applications, including a large flameproof device which passed IECEx flameproof testing. -Contributed to next-generation acoustic telemetry tool design.

-Designed downhole sand screens and flow control devices.-Performed flow simulation and strength analysis on downhole assemblies.

-Led 5 person multi-disciplinary engineering team with direct oversight of electrical designers and software developers. -Launched Newsco's Tuffshot Top Mounted Pulser.-Established document control systems, and introduced best practice processes to mechanical CAD (SolidWorks) files. -Introduced data-driven design decisions to reduce common failure modes. -Conducted parametric CFD evaluation to optimize hydrodynamics of downhole mud pulse valve assemblies. Telemetrix/Newsco ceased Canadian engineering and manufacturing operations at the end of April, 2016. I declined the opportunity to relocate to the Houston area to continue in the same role.
