- I created and implemented a help manual style guide to improve usability. -After learning to use the pipe-flow modeling and simulation software, I worked to eliminate bugs and improve features in a new software release.

-I pursued my passion for hands-on design and fabrication by starting my own branch of Colorado Ski Chairs in Boulder, CO.-I design and build custom furniture directly for clients as well as contract for Colorado Ski Chairs in Manitou Springs.-When contracting, I often build from the same model; I have increased quality while decreasing time spent per unit by updating the design for manufacturability and improving the manufacturing process. I designed jigs to standardize parts and assemblies, decreasing assembly time while improving quality consistency.-In building directly for customers, I have learned to work with clients to ensure that their specifications are met, while allowing for creativity in both the design and manufacture processes.-On larger projects, I led small groups, showing my skills as both a leader and hands-on team member.

-I led research and development into new wire, cable and fabrication and recycling machines.-In search of new, higher quality, and cheaper products, I opened new supply chains with Chinese manufacturers and exporters to Brazil.-I led meetings with potential suppliers and the business owner, acting as both a translator and importer.

-I led my Senior Design team to 4th place against 27 international teams with 5,500 eMPG in the 2017 Shell Eco-Marathon Americas. -My team custom-designed and manufactured a manned, battery-electric vehicle from the ground up. I took on a hands-on leadership approached in which I was involved in every component at every stage of development from ideation to driving the vehicle at the competition.-Using SolidWorks Simulations, I designed the drop-outs and rear-brake system for the vehicle, which had to withstand large stress caused by the in-hub BLDC motor without deforming or falling out of alignment.-Through physical prototyping and SolidWorks modeling, we designed the vehicle to optimize for weight with SolidWorks stress simulations while considering safety at every turn. The technical inspector said that we had "the only death-proof frame without sacrificing weight".-This project involved a full product cycle from prototyping to fabrication, testing and validation. -I helped to draft engineering drawings and ensure that all drawings were well-specified and machinable for over 60 parts then spent more than 200 hours fabricating parts and welding in the machine shop.-Even though this was our first year and we were competing against legacy teams, we were the first team of almost 100 to pass technical inspection and one of very few to pass on their first attempt due to quality engineering at every step and attention to detail.-Operating on a $15,000 budget, we saved $1,500 to go toward future projects.-The Shell Eco-Marathon is an international competition which brings teams from all around the Americas to race custom-made vehicles for maximum efficiency.

-At Colorado Ski Chairs, I worked on all aspects of ski chair fabrication from removing bindings and cutting skis to assembly and painting.-I decreased fabrication time through new jig designs and more efficient work layouts.-Using the skills learned here and the money that I had saved up, I began my own branch in Boulder, Colorado.

-As a PADI Divemaster intern, I guided and assisted SCUBA dives (drift, wreck, deep).-I practiced and implemented skills including leadership in high-pressure environments, first aid, and customer relations.-SCUBA diving has given me a hands-on, in-depth understanding of fluid-dynamics.-My day-to-day activities included prepping boats, assembling clients' equipment, and assisting divemasters while improving my own skills.-On various occasions, I actively intervened to prevent life-threatening injuries.
