Spring Valley Nature Center, Schaumburg, Il

I was responsible for all projects pertaining to education at the Nature Center. Which included planning and presenting environmental education programs to school groups, scouting groups and the general public. As well as any organization and repair of collections, education equipment and supplies. I was also involved with the creation and maintenance of all interactive discovery niches and hands-on exhibits. In addition, I assisted with staff trainings and the development of on-site programming.

General Offices, Libertyville Illinois

My duties included teaching school children, developing public programs and activities for families, as well as summer camps. I also assisted with the operations and activities of the Education Department and the Lake County Forest Preserves. In addition I communicated frequently with telephone callers and visitors to the Forest Preserves, answering questions on many aspects of the environment, the preserve, local history, and District operations.

I have instructed nature programs and scouting classes at all age levels in which I wrote all of my own lesson plans.

Bartlett Nature Center

I have instructed people of all ages on environmental education through day camps, animal shows, nature classes, scouting activities, birthday parties and walk-up visitors. I have written all my own lesson plans for each class that I have done.

Apple Orchard Golf Course

I processed fees, concessions, equipment rental, cash handling and daily balancing of money, answered telephones, coordinated foursomes, enforced Thor Guard Rules / Rain Check refunds and maintained a clean and friendly environment at the golf course

Peck Farm Park Interpretive Center

I am responsible for development and implementation of environmental education programming for children and families. Programs include onsite and offsite nature classes, field trips, birthday parties, summer camps and special events. I also am responsible for educating any walk-up visitors and managing daily operations of the park, including the onsite butterfly house.
