Responsible for planning, executing, and providing engineering evaluation for all reactor plant maintenance activities during an A4W platform shutdown period. Review all deficiency resolutions and technical work documents that conduct maintenance functions on the reactor plant's fluid systems. Reviews focus on technical accuracy of the repairs based on drawings and technical manuals. Also, reviews verify contamination, exposure and radioactive material generated are correct to protect workers and environment.Act as expert and representative on all reactor plant fluid boundary components (i.e. heat exchangers, pumps, valves etc), their operation, and their contribution to the reactor plant system.Perform and coordinate inspections of the reactor plant to evaluate the condition. Perform risk analysis and mitigating actions for contractor work onboard A4W, S6G, and S9G platforms.

Cognizant nuclear engineer for planning and preparing technical work documents for repairing/replacing pumps, heat exchangers, valves, and pipes in the reactor plant. Restore components to a functioning state that meets the original drawing specifications, military/ASME specifications or to make modifications in order to prevent hindering the plant’s capabilities. Research drawings (i.e. system diagrams, piping plans, etc), material specifications, technical manuals and historical radiological data to develop a technically accurate work plan for project's schedule.Order materials that meet the design intent and specifications of technical manuals and drawings to support repairs. Provide a material cost estimate to projects to support their budget analysis.Provide jobsite support and technical evaluation for specific work evolutions.Perform engineering calculations and analysis to justify and obtain approval for plant design deviations.
