As Design Director at Sunshine Sign company my first self appointed task was to take a company that had its branding done clearly in the 80's and update their image in order to better compete in today's marketplace. Doing so I rebranded the company with a new Logo, Business Cards and Website. My day to day responsibilities were to create outstanding signage for all our clients that fit their varied budgets. I was proud to have been able to completely redesign Lasell College's interior and exterior wayfinding and signs.

As Design Engineer at DCL in Boston it was my job to take project illustrations provided by Environmental Graphic Designers and turn them into a reality by producing many page documents on how to build them. I was responsible for specifying everything from the type of aluminum to use to what type hardware, electrical components, welds etc to use. I was fortunate enough to work on some outstanding projects including being the design engineer for the MGM Grand at Foxwoods, consulting on the construction of signage for the new Yankee Stadium to managing the construction of the 20+ foot tall translucent green fiberglass reinforced internally illuminated Coke bottle for the Coke museum in Atlanta GA.

As manager at AMI I was responsible for everything from the initial sit down with the client to delivering a spectacular product. I had to manage work flow, a small staff of model makers, run the laser, cut topographical models out of foam and be creative. Overall I wore many hats and had a great time doing it. I strive in an environment where there is creative diversity and where there is no mundane repetition.

As a graduate student at SFSU I studied Industrial Arts and took my love for all things built to the next level. The strength of studies at SFSU was to teach its students to technically think. We were taught to study the environment and through doing so find problems where no one else did. We were than taught which questions to ask and how to creatively solve the problem at hand using a variety of tools.

At Design Innovations I was taught the art of model making as a professional. I needed to take renderings of toys that were provided by clients such as ToyBiz or Hasbro and turn them into a reality. I was tasked to model make, sculpt, cast and paint as well as manage my time and that of a projects in order to make delivery to the client.
