I analyzed UPS and UPS Capital data sources to develop dashboards and reporting using Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, SQL Server, Oracle Database Systems, and Microsoft Access to increase visibility among UPS Capital staff and senior management. I served as the BIA subject matter expert for various UPS Capital Business Units in traversing non-familiar data of new and legacy systems in both Microsoft and Oracle environments to model for operational and strategic analysis. Special Project – Customer Experience Business Agile Team:I was chosen to be one of four members comprising UPS Capital’s first cross-functional business agile team, focused around the biggest factor driving our organizational transformation – our customers’ experience. In this role, I conducted ad-hoc analyses using RStudio, Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server, and Microsoft Access to test hypotheses, explored data patterns, predict outcomes, and develop solutions to continually improve our evolving NPS program. I provided visibility to operational, managerial, and executive stakeholders through dashboards and reporting using Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, enterprise database systems, and local database applications. One of my most impactful accomplishments includes developing an end-to-end ETL process using organizational data sources, Qualtrics, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, and SharePoint to increase customer data accuracy, enable automation, and manage our renovated NPS survey process.

I analyzed various UPS data sources to develop dashboards, reports, and business plans to increase visibility among UPSC senior management. Through these tools, senior management gained greater visibility to make more educated business decisions and guide the company down a clearer strategic path. I was responsible for generating Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) compensation for international entities. I provided insight to the different Regional Sales Directors and Managers of their reporting Business Development Operators' current sales data in a visually pleasing and accurate format.I also ensured pertinent data was captured to assure the end product meets the stakeholder’s requirements.

I created visibility within my group by using traditional analysis tools and more advanced BI visualization tools such as Excel, Access, SQL Server, Oracle, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI. From these different reports and visualizations, my management team was able to make more informed business decisions that led to more efficient processes, more transparent understanding, and cost savings within the organization. I conducted analyses for ground and jet fuel RFPs. I had the opportunity of gaining energy knowledge and experience while building and maintaining vendor relationships with different commodity suppliers.

I designed, developed, and implemented four different database applications using Microsoft Access. These applications automated different accounting processes and drove efficiency throughout multiple departments. From these projects I was able to gain experience with more complex SQL queries, create complicated forms and reports, increase my knowledge of Microsoft Access as a database solution, and apply VBA knowledge while simultaneously increasing that knowledge.

As a Sales Consultant at Best Buy, I was able to apply my knowledge of technology to everyday problems to produce customer solutions. I assisted customers by providing unbiased information to promote an educated purchase. I was able to keep up to date with current and trending technology. I was able to have fun while being the best.

During this internship I was able to get a deeper understanding of IT Administration and gain experience with the tools used to maintain an office-style network. My duties were to troubleshoot office equipment regarding technology and systems, setup new equipment, and implement and maintain new and legacy systems. I shadowed different members of the IT Administration staff to see how they work with complex networks and database systems.
