Kyle Hutchins is a Partner of Reef Capital Partners and also serves as the Investment Advisory Representative "IAR" of Reef Investment Management. Kyle is responsible for helping Reef Investment Management provide administrative services to Reef’s growing investor base, which includes high net worth individuals, independent RIAs, family offices, endowments, and other institutions. As IAR of Reef Investment Management, Mr. Hutchins oversees the evaluation and recommendation of all new investment opportunities selected for vehicles advised by Reef Investment Management.

Kyle was the Vice President of Business Development at SG Capital Management, an equity long/short hedge fund located in Chicago, IL. Responsible for all communications with current and potential investors, Kyle materially helped the firm grow AUM from $400M to $650M during his tenure. In addition, he monitored and analyzed gross and net exposures to various quantitative risk factors across strategies, helping to hedge unwanted portfolio risk.

Worked as an investment management consultant to support over 150 buy-side investment professionals (Hedge Funds, Investment Firms and Private Wealth Managers) in downtown Chicago via on-site meetings, user trainings, and project work.

Calculated and distributed daily NAVs of domestic and international mutual funds holding equities, swaps, and futures.

I was a Private Equity summer intern for Stonehenge Capital for several years from 2006 through 2010, with my primary job responsibility being investment valuation by means of public comparables analysis (discounted average of revenue or EBITDA multiples, depending on the industry) and determining any asset impairments necessary for private, closely held businesses invested in by the private equity funds. My valuation duties focused on various investment tranches encompassing debt, preferred equity, warrants, and stock.
