When I was at Blackburn College, they had a work program. I worked in several departments: I started in their campus safety and security workforce, there was a lot of early mornings and late nights with that job. We were responsible for unlocking all the buildings on campus in the morning and locking them back up at the closing time. I worked for safety and security for two semesters.With the new construction job, I started that one with Blackburn's summer program. With the summer program, they would let us stay on campus while they paid us to work full-time. I learned many useful skills that I apply today at work and home. I worked there for two whole summers and one semester. My favorite job at Blackburn was being the teacher's aide to Dr. Morin. I was an aid for pre-calculus one semester and calculus for the other semester. I was in charge of tutoring sessions for the students. This job has taught me how people learn in different ways and how leaders must think in different ways to get the concept understood.
