Kyle led global sustainable agriculture for EY Ripples, a heavily subsidized extension of EY's global consulting practice, where the firm works hands-on with leading enterprises. Through his project oversight role, he co-developed new agriculture tools to engage with agriculture enterprises to improve their work with farmers, create greater transparency within their supply chains, and reduce their environmental footprints.By developing solutions with leading corporations such as Syngenta, Bayer, and Unilever, Kyle has shown how creating solutions that address critical issues in the value chain improves financial performance and social and environmental sustainability.The position sat within the global corporate responsibility leadership team. As part of the corporate responsibility leadership team, I helped develop the global corporate responsibility strategy and build out the operations across all member firms. I co-led the initsial creation of the impact methodology in reporting financial and social performance against set targets such as SBTs, Net Zero and other climate related metrics and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and other external ESG metrics. I co-led developing a new environmental sustainability focus area to develop how the firm creates and measures its internal and external environmental impact.

Oversaw the management and strategic direction of the SME Agriculture Fund within the prestigious African Agriculture Fund. Analyzed and evaluated more than 100 investment opportunities, utilizing comprehensive financial models and market research, resulting in the successful execution of 10 impactful deals for agriculture enterprises across Sub-Saharan Africa. Played a pivotal role in driving enterprise strategy and growth for the fund and structured growth plans for each company within the portfolio.

Kyle co-founded, fund raised, developed, and sold two agriculture social enterprises Abavuni Production and Abavuni Inputs. Abavuni Production is an innovative and inclusive African AgroFood company that uses digital agriculture solutions to upskill and connect emerging farmers to supply the South African retail sector. Abavuni Inputs is Inputs Company that uses digital agriculture solutions to supply inputs to small holder farmers in South Africa.

EMA built a diverse body of work in scope around climate change and sustainability in emerging markets. EMA has worked throughout Africa on topics arranging from new product development, local economic development and due diligence on potential investments in the energy, environment, and agriculture sectors. Former clients: • Anglo-American Zimele: Conducted a country wide agriculture value chain assessment in South Africa to analyze potential agriculture investment opportunities for emerging farmers, developed a framework to evaluate potential agriculture investment and evaluated agriculture investments for the $200 million fund. Operated a two-year incubation program to develop specific implementation strategies for SMEs to overcome hurdles for them to succeed and led investment evaluations for the fund. • The Gates Foundation: Performed detailed agriculture value chain analysis by leading a team of four consultants in Nigeria to develop intervention strategies to raise small holder farmer income by better connecting the farmers to an end market. Analyzed and quantified leading agriculture cropping rotations in Nigeria, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. • The World Food Programme: Conducted legume and soya value chain sector in Zambia in order to base an agriculture development strategy to resolve the constraints within the sector through developing a country-wide aggregation center model to provide inputs, technical assistance, and off-take for smallholder farmers.

Kyle established public-private partnerships between governments and companies across three thematic areas, including; international development, STEM education, and disaster preparedness. One such program was to liaison with the government in connecting the private sector response towards disaster recovery of the 2004 Tsunami and 2005 Hurricane season.
