Test homes (energy audit), create software energy models of the homes and then design deep energy retrofit projects based on all data collected and the results of the energy model. Design and engineer custom heating/cooling mechanical systems, insulate homes and reduce the key points of leakage throughout. Clients see greatly reduced energy bills and large improvements to comfort and air quality.

Completed an intensive (25 hours/week) training course on Energy Auditing procedure, report generation, green building science, auditing software, sales/customer service and detailed financial analysis strategies for energy efficiency project prioritization.

Trained and Certified as a BPI: Building Analyst. Skilled in conducting detailed residential energy audits and combustion safety tests.

Worked with government agencies and engineers to help implement sustainable environmental projects such as solid waste management municipal wide segregation of trash, organic fertilizer production, sustainable farming, tree and mangrove plantations, Marine Protected Area development, Participatory Coastal Resource Assessments and environmental school contests. Other activities involved: organizing of People’s Associations and Fisherfolk Organizations, SCUBA diving for resource surveys, writing of grants and managing grant funds, planning and conducting seminars, use of GPS and speaking Tagalog daily.

Tested soil samples sent in by farms from various countries around Oceania and various Hawaiian islands as well. Soils were tested for nutrient amounts, salinity, pH and metal contents. Trained extensively in use of lab equipment. Worked with Mary Ho of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Botany Department.

Assisted a professor in a self directed project researching the relationship between coastal land plants and coastal algae in terms of nutrient ratios. Internship involved conducting biological surveys, coordination among co-workers, GIS and GPS technical skills and laboratory work and data analysis. Worked under Dr. Lawren Sack of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Botany Department.

Assisted in the research of a grad student's Masters thesis in Kaneohe Bay through University of Hawaii at Manoa. The research included taking bay water samples, lab testing for variables (pH, salinity, turbidity, chlorophyll, oxygen levels) and preliminary data analysis.

Involved extensive surveys and interviews to statistically prove that Sea Turtles are essential for the tourist based economy of Oahu. Worked with Dr. Regina Woodlum of the Marine Option Program of the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Work comprised of organizing room assignments, conflict resolution, emergency situation control and paperwork organization and filing.

Helped conduct fund-raising events for an effort to promote government subsidies on solar power.
