As BHG Financial my organization is responsible for all data used for analytics, reporting and predictive models. My organization consists of six teams of data engineers, report writers, quality assurance and data governance specialists. We have successfully completed our cloud migration delivering the following key results:1. Data outages have been reduced by over 99%. 2. Predictive model deployment time has been reduced by over 90%.3. We greatly enhanced our data security using AI and automated processes to detect new data and PII.4. The infrastructure spend between our previous on premise solution and new cloud solution is roughly the same.5. Support requests have been reduced by 75%.

As one of the fastest growing small business lenders in the US, Kabbage provides an online platform that provides lending decisions and funding in as little as ten minutes. My team of engineers was responsible for building pipelines and data assets that allow for analytics, reporting, modeling, fraud detection, and decisioning. By building strong relationship across business units and delivering on commitments, all data engineers throughout Kabbage were moved to my organization growing it to 25 FTEs. • The AWS S3 data warehouse we built leveraging Apache Spark supported enterprise wide ad-hoc analytics and reporting saving Kabbage over $600,000 a year. We released the first version in less than three months and migrated the entire company to the platform in less than a year. • Released a real-time metrics platform which quickly became the backbone of new product and data science model innovation at Kabbage. New data science models could be released in a few weeks instead of several months leading to an increase from two to more than twenty-five data science models in production • Consolidated and re-architected our reporting environment to Tableau allowing for dashboards updated hourly and self-service analytics across the enterprise. • Reorganized my department into three Agile teams to more align with business units. The new alignments led to more predictable delivery results and increased delivery execution. • Architected a new streamlined direct mail process with enhanced identity resolution that saved $600,000 a year and delivered a new prospect database which drove several new sales and data science initiatives.

As one of the largest global digital marketing technology companies, responsible for building data assets that allow the delivery of predictive models, advanced analytics, and reports. Due to the success of two prototype projects (personally proposed, architected, and delivered), I managed two teams responsible for delivering and expanding both solutions in production. One team focuses on building real time data pipelines while the other constructed batch processes and business intelligence reports.• Managed the expansion of a S3 data warehouse with new data sources and the capability of processing between 5 and 15 billion daily transactions a day saving $184,000 per year starting in 2018.• Released a real-time scoring platform of advertiser specific conversion models capable of processing hundreds of predictive models (using Apache Spark, Kafka and DynamoDb). • Consolidated multiple reporting platforms into a single enterprise Tableau environment saving $29,200 per month in software licensing and hardware costs. The reporting platform freed up a 5-person team.• Negotiated a 40% reduction in a DataBricks contract saving $108,000 per year.

Aline Consulting is moving Nokia's supply chain management data platform to the cloud. What began as a cloud based Master Data Management solution has turned into a complete data management platform for Nokia. My current responsibilities include architecting the entire data platform and technical advisor to data engineers in best practices. The platform leverages Apache Spark, Alluxio, Hortonwork Hadoop, and Cassandra and is hosted in Microsoft's Azure Cloud Platform.

As the technical expert for SunTrust's Master Data and Reference data platform, my primarily responsibility includes designing and delivering solutions that allow our master and reference data to integrate into other applications, dashboards, and business processes. I'm also responsible for evangelizing and educating the business units about the benefits of an enterprise master data strategy. Lastly, I'm responsible for stabilizing SunTrust's current Business Intelligence data enterprise while enhancing the data enterprise with Big Data capabilities.

As more of our data requires 24/7 access to our users, I’m responsible for designing and implementing technologies, processes, and procedures to make it happen. • Responsible of the design, development, and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and cubes developed with SQL Server Reporting services and/or SQL Server Analysis services.• Responsible for Enterprise database management and administration.• Responsible for automating any and all processes that will improve IT efficiencies.
