State College Grade Separation Project

Project Engineer on a high profile grade seperation project in the city of Fullerton, Ca. The project has a contract value of $38 Million. It's a Rail Road bridge being constructed on a dirt soffit, pre-cast bridge section that will be supported by CIDH piles. The surounding roads, mainly State College Blvd, will be lowered so State College Blvd will travel under the tracks once the bridge is in place. Soldier Pile Retaining Walls will be used for dropping the grade on the surrounding roads. There is also work along the Rail Road tracks. The tracks are very busy tracks that remain in service throughout the project which adds a lot of complexity and logistical challenges as well as safety challenges.

Managed any plant improvement construction projects.Designed and built a new bleach transfer system.Assisted with the annual CPUC capacity testing during the spring outage which all yielded successful results once altitude and temperature corrections were factored in. The combined cycle facility actually performed exceptionally well and from what I hear it still does. I often worked with the maintenance crews when vital systems or equipment would break or have problems and gained a lot of valuable experience with the hands on mechanical side of a combined cycle power plant and associated systems.
