Chief of operations for an 1100 soldier battalion, responsible for the allocation of resources; planning and execution of mandatory annual and semi-annual training requirements; budgeting of resources; and planning of all unit current and future operations while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XII. Planned and executed the battalion’s reintegration of personnel and reset of equipment following redeployment from combat operations, decreasing unit down time by 25%.Increased overall unit efficiency by streamlining unit resource requesting procedures, decreasing lead time by 50% and overall planning timeline by 25%.

Led a company of 320 soldiers providing operational support to a cavalry division. Managed vehicles and equipment in excess of $60 million. Developed and implemented a training and deployment readiness program which successfully deployed 240 soldiers to Afghanistan. While deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom commanded a maneuver company responsible for security and counter insurgency operations. Executed a robust maintenance reorganization program reducing the effective time vehicles were serviced, increasing the company’s readiness rating to over 99% and receiving the Army Maintenance Excellence Award.Overhauled training of individual and collective tasks, effectively transitioning logistics soldiers to perform direct combat roles resulting in zero loss of life while engaged in direct combat operations in Afghanistan.Instituted a revitalized property accountability system, gaining user level buy-in with zero loss of equipment over an 18 month time period. Led a major project to consolidate, organize, and identify proper disposition of 10 years of excess equipment and a special projects warehouse, creating a cost-savings to the unit of over $4 million.

Operations manager for all division operations and liaison to more than 10 subordinate organizations across Multi-National Division Baghdad, responsible for collecting and consolidating information in order to provide viable recommendations and situational awareness to the division commander.Allocated resources across Baghdad to combat units directly involved in counter insurgency operations, allowing more than 30 simultaneous operations to occur each day. Condensed reporting procedures from subordinate units allowing for increased focus on tasks rather than reporting.

Led three separate Air Defense Artillery platoons consisting of 50 personnel, up to 15 vehicles and equipment valued at over $50 million. Served as the primary Patriot missile system trainer for a 700 soldier battalion. Increased unit readiness by more than 25% through the development and implementation of a comprehensive hands on training program, resulting in the qualification of 21 Patriot missile crews while deployed to the Republic of Korea.Recognized as the most tactically and technically proficient officer in the battalion on annual performance evaluation.Successfully planned, implemented and executed an emergency unit deployment exercise, decreasing overall time required to deploy personnel and equipment by more than 20%.
