Chief Fire has quite the start-up story. I founded it in my garage the same month my first son was born. The whirlwind was only just beginning. Our team of engineers managed to scrap from a start-up to a recognizable manufacturing company in only a few years, building some truly remarkable industrial fire suppression products. We capitalized on working with customers all over the world, with exciting applications from Aerospace to Oil and Gas. The project required a functioning reactor within 6 months.Accomplishments: ● Developed pilot reactor that had an 800 fold production rate increase over prototype reactor unit● Designed and developed a proprietary sublimation reactor chamber, capable of fully rotating for evacuation of dried chemical reagent● Designed and built a novel purified extinguisher filling technology● Designed a proprietary cryogenic chemical station for processing precursor chemicalsAnd met the target in 6 months...

Hands-on design, development and production of nanomaterials in the 20-100 nanometer particle size distribution. I worked closely with the engineering team to design proprietary chemical reactor solutions while also troubleshooting mechanical designs and production problems. Using the in-house machine shop, I hand fabricated novel chemical engineering packages and prototypes.● Key Project: NASA Advanced Life Support Systems. We developed a novel method for reclaiming wastewater using spray drying solid separation. I was the co-founder of a hi-fidelity loudspeaker manufacturing company with a longtime childhood friend. It was an awesome learning experience in design, production planning, sales and marketing and finance. We were provided assistance from friends, family and many other business mentors. Best takeaway: it turned me into a woodworker and kicked me off with entrepreneurship. It is one of the best decisions I ever made.
