An Environmental Analyst on the EDC Hurricane Sandy Project to evaluate the proposed plan by the NYC government to rehabilitate and reconstruct homes damaged by the storm Hurricane Sandy, which impacted the City in October, 2012. Many houses will be elevated to situate themselves away from flooding damage after their homes have been repaired or reconstructed. Using ArcGIS, we analyzed the location of the home in its floodplain and assess its damage report from their to determine its federal funding procedure.
