The University Learning Centre operates with a mission to: "Develop and offer facilities, programs, resources, and opportunities for all faculty, instructors, and students in order to enhance the teaching and learning environment; to foster effective teaching and learning; and to champion and celebrate quality education at the University of Saskatchewan".Kyle joined the University Learning Center as one of the pioneering mentors responsible for providing supplemental instruction sessions to students at the Edwards School of Business Calculus 121 Course. Kyle gained significant experience in facilitation and presentation by holding weekly sessions for both small and large groups focusing on areas of difficulty in the course. Kyle also was responsible for the creation of midterms, final exams, and learning guide resources for the program.Returning in 2008, Kyle took on increased responsibility in addition to his role as a supplemental instructor by becoming a Senior Peer Mentor, responsible for leading and training a team of approximately 50 new Peer Mentors and Supplemental Instructors to carry out the programming of the Learning Centre.
