Highlights - Lead of the frontend SDE guild, focusing on improving our UX and development experience, as well as reducing technical debt. - Designed and developer Tavour's push notification service. Powered on AWS using Dynamo, Lambdas, GraphQL, SNS, and the serverless framework. - Designed and developed Rewards service / Gamification experience. Powered via AWS EventBridge, users can receive rewards by taking various actions throughout the Tavour architecture, and view their rewards within the app. - Created a new React application for our internal merchandising team to make our merchandising decisions easier to understand, and faster to plan. This changed the process of merchandising from a 6 hour daily-job from a dedicated merchandiser to a 30 minute job, and has provided an enhanced ability to compare offerings that a user currently has in the app, and will see over the coming days.

During my time at Principal Focus, I designed, developed, released, and maintained their mobile application, ServiceMonster Technician. The app was written completely from the ground up all within the timespan of a year, as a single developer. While the app was developed, I was the only mobile developer on the team. I was later responsible for establishing design paradigms, testing standards, and logging tools as we brought on new developers. In addition to the code, I developed an automated end-to-end testing paradigm for the app, and implemented industry standard practices by establishing daily scrum meetings with the backend team, as well as unit testing/code-coverage enforcement within the mobile team. I interviewed, on-boarded, and hired additional members of the mobile team, and began writing the foundation of their most recent app, ServiceMonster, which was recently released.The application served as internal software for thousands of service companies, interacted heavily with multiple APIs, has varying displays and interactions that are dependent on the authenticated role and company settings, and is required to work largely offline. After release in order to further debug the application, I researched tools for capturing bug information for the app, and integrated with Bugsnag, which we later added to our frontend-web software due to its utility in tracking down bugs that we otherwise would never have heard of.Technologies: React, React-Native, Redux, Redux-Sagas, Normalizr, Google Maps
